Medical Education
Education is central to my practice as a dermatologist. I believe in making dermatology engaging, evidence-based, and accessible — whether for undergraduate students, postgraduate trainees, or members of the wider public. My teaching spans formal university lectures, bedside tutorials, national examinations, mentorship, research supervision, and public health outreach.
Honorary Clinical Lecturer, University of Glasgow
As an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, I contribute to the undergraduate dermatology curriculum through lectures, small-group tutorials, bedside teaching, skills sessions, and examinations.
I welcome medical elective applications from students at any university worldwide. These placements provide clinical exposure, hands-on learning, and opportunities to engage with dermatology teaching. Please note that while there is no fee for undertaking an elective, applicants will be subject to an interview before confirmation.

Postgraduate Mentorship & Educational Supervision
I mentor resident doctors, offering guidance on career development, portfolio building, and navigating dermatology training pathways. I also supervise taster weeks, enabling doctors to gain hands-on clinical experience.
I welcome opportunities to collaborate on research projects, particularly those aligned with my areas of interest. As a member of the Aspiring Leaders in Healthcare Network, I am committed to supporting the development of future clinical leaders. If you feel I could support your project, please get in touch via the contact form.
All opportunities are provided without charge but require an interview before confirmation.

Through my role with the Royal College of Physicians, I contribute to postgraduate medical education by serving as a question writer and sitting on the Board of Examiners. I help design, review, and quality-assure examination content, ensuring fairness, consistency, and the highest standards in postgraduate medical assessments across the UK and internationally.

Training and Public Outreach
My teaching also extends beyond medicine. I have trained laser technicians at the DermaLase Masterclass, focusing on the safe and appropriate use of laser and IPL in skin conditions. As a Skcin Ambassador, I have delivered training to school teachers on the importance of sunscreen application within sun safety initiatives.
Beyond formal teaching, I engage in public speaking, curriculum development, and the creation of educational resources. My goal is to make dermatology approachable, practical, and grounded in the latest evidence.
