Dr Lidia Sacchelli

Dr Lidia Sacchelli is a specialist in Dermatology and Venereology and a research fellow at the Dermatology Unit of Sant'Orsola-Malpighi Polyclinic in Bologna, Italy. Her research focuses on inflammatory skin diseases, particularly moderate-to-severe psoriasis and biologic therapies. She contributes to major Italian multicenter real-world studies on biologics and small molecules, and has co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications. She also trained at Hôpital Saint-Louis in Paris.

Dr Sacchelli firmly believes that social media is a powerful tool for public health when it is used with scientific rigour and ethics. That is why she led, as first author, the Italian Consensus on the Ethical and Professional Use of Social Media by Dermatologists (Ital J Dermatol Venerol, 2025). She regularly speaks on digital communication at national congresses (SIDeMaST, AIDA), and is part of the SIDeMaST Media team.

Dr Sacchelli has been an EADV member for ten years, and is proud to be one of the nine official Social Media Reporters of the EADV Congress 2026 in Vienna. Through @derm_a_porter on Instagram and YouTube, she bridges evidence-based dermatology and the public, debunking myths and fighting misinformation.
